About Helicoil STI Thread Plug Gauges
The accuracy of the finished thread, when the Helicoil screw thread insert is installed, is dependant on the accuracy of the Helicoil tapped hole. Prior to installation of Helicoil inserts, it is highly recommended that the tapped hole is gauged with a Helicoil Screw Thread Insert Gauge. This will ensure that the hole is tapped according to the proper specs and dimensions.
